A number of years ago, while living on White Street in Ann Arbor, I finally succumbed to a powerful urge to shake the dust off my brushes and renew the pleasure of working with the power and richness associated with oil paints. This particular scene had been etched in my mind for many months, transferring it to canvas was a satisfying process that I finally accomplished in 2001.
