During the “Say Yes to Michigan” campaign, my family traveled once again to the North. We purchased some big, ripe cherries in Beulah, Michigan from the Cherry Hut during the Annual Cherry Festival happening in Traverse City. Not surprisingly, the subject matter disappeared quickly after this pastel was finished.
